Our work
Our work involves the use of living microorganisms, such as bacteria, fungi, and yeasts, which have the ability to modify or decompose polluting substances, transforming them into less toxic or inert compounds. These microorganisms can be naturally occurring (native) or cultured in the laboratory, and are applied to both groundwater and contaminated soils.
Our approach
Bioremediation is a technique recognized for its efficiency and low cost, being widely used in various countries for soil pollutant removal and waste treatment. Our method of Accelerated Bioremediation by Bioaugmentation of Indigenous Microorganisms (BABMA) is a promising biotechnological approach that uses microorganisms from the polluted ecological niche itself to degrade organic or toxic chemical compounds.
Our tech
This natural and specific process results in the complete degradation of pollutants present in industrial, commercial, or residential effluents, as well as in soils and surface or groundwater. Bioremediation is considered a form of Environmental Biotechnology, as it uses natural microbial consortia in a controlled manner to degrade pollutants.
Our innovation
Our method is based on a phenomenon in Molecular Biology known as "Heat Shock Protein" (HSP). This phenomenon involves the intensified expression of specific proteins in microorganisms when exposed to elevated temperatures or toxic compounds. This allows only the most resistant microorganisms to survive and continue degrading pollutants, remaining active even in polluted environments.
The benefits
The use of indigenous microorganisms for bioremediation offers several advantages. Besides being a sustainable and environmentally friendly method, it avoids the need for expensive and complex processes of dredging, transporting, and disposing of waste. This results in a more economical and efficient solution for effluent management and the recovery of degraded areas.
Our commitment
We are committed to offering innovative and effective solutions for effluent treatment, contributing to environmental preservation and improving quality of life. We work with seriousness and dedication, constantly striving to improve our methods and results to meet the needs of our clients and the requirements of regulatory bodies.
